Upon reading my Mother’s annual Christmas newsletter, I’ve realized I’ve accomplished quite a bit in the first 11 months of this year. I’ve decided to go back and list a few of the major ones.
I bought a big screen HDTV. HD is simply amazing.
I got my cholesterol down to the best its been…ever.
I bought a brand new 2005 vehicle. Its an amazing feeling.
I got rid of my beloved Eclipse. :(
I visited Heather in Ohio.
I watched the Illini play in the NCAA tournament, LIVE!
I watched the Illini play in the NCAA Final, at the Assembly Hall.
I got my Motorcycle license.
I got a raise.
I’ve represented the University at a conference.
I should be receiving my FOID card.
I got my Amateur Radio license.
I served on jury duty.
I started playing hockey again.
I broke my arm. (playing hockey)(first broken bone in my life)
I’ve watched the Illini Ice Hockey team several times.
I got a promotion of sorts at work along with another raise.
Probably most important of all, I’ve made a bunch of new friends that are MY AGE.
Pretty good if you ask me. Nothing earth shattering but worth mentioning.
I have probably 2 or 3 things I’d love to add to this list, but that’s about it.
Overall I’d say I’ve had a pretty productive and probably the best year of my life. I’m not sure how I’ll top it next year. But it WILL be done. :)
Yay! I made the list! We’ll top it next year with spring break!! :-) That and our trip to Vegas!
