Illinois, the best team in the nation.

Monday, April 4th, 2005

Although we may not have won the National Title, there is no greater team that has been through the NCAA. To win every game that Dick Vitale said we would lose (and that was pretty much all of them), to win 37 games in a season, to come back from being behind 15 points with 4 minutes left to beat Arizona, to beat Louisville to make it to our first final, to coming from 15 points behind in the national title game to tie it with a few minutes left.

This has been the greatest season in Illinois history, 100 years of basketball. 100 years of pride.
47,000 fans showed up in St Louis, 39,000 were wearing orange. 12,000 showed up at the Assembly Hall. The fans are the best in the nation. The best in the world.

Congratulations on a season worth being proud of for the rest of your lives, boys. We’re proud of you.

Car

Monday, April 4th, 2005

As of this morning when I got to work I have 1111 miles on my car.

I’m giddy, It’s cool having a car that has less than 80,000 miles on it.

Artificial lighting is frying my brain.

GO ILLINI!!

Must be productive today at work. MUST BE.

Music is the keeper of peace.

Credit Report / Car Loan Woes

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2005

So I did this annualcreditreport.com thing.
Horribly Disappointed.
Yeah, its nice to check up on things, but they make you pay to see the most relevant piece of information. YOUR CREDIT SCORES.

Not to mention the TransUnion refused to believe it was me. (One of the questions they as is about your current employer, and they ask where you’re employed, BUT they fail to give me enough space to actually type out “University of Illinois” so it said I was incorrect, Not to mention they wouldn’t take “State Route 1″ as a synonym to “State Route One”)

Trans Union seems to be a nice huge headache for me. The UofI Credit Union uses that bureau. Which just so happens to not recognize how long I had my Capitol One credit card.

And oh yeah. The UofI Credit Union counted when THEY checked my credit a few months ago against me. And even though I have excellent credit, they want me to show proof of income (understandable), but I also, must either put an 80% downpayment on the loan, or find a co-signer. I SHOULDN’T have to do either of those. Why do I bother keeping excellent credit if places like this are just going to try to screw me over?

Such a pain. But at least I found out that insurance on the new car will be substantially lower than I initially thought. So I’m happy about that.
Now I just need to find somewhere to get a good loan, and not get screwed over.

You’d think that eating would be a natural instinct.
How did I manage to forget to eat yesterday?

I wasn’t that busy. I have food/money…

Poker, Xbox

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2005

I took second place Monday, finally ending my losing streak in Champaign.
I think I might have figured out my style of play. (get monster cards)

Also, I bought a 200gb drive for my xbox. I was going to wait until Jim and Jeff do some work on theirs, but I couldn’t wait anymore.

I went through the whole process of creating the new drive, flashing the TSOP and everything. It was nerve racking at times, but I got it figured out without creating a large paperweight.

Umm, wow
